Blackjack University teaches blackjack the way advantage players play it: basic strategy, card counting, count-based deviations and betting, all with play money.
Need help, found a bug, or think a hint is wrong?
Email CONTACT_EMAIL. Include your device, its OS version, and the table rules you were playing if it is about a hint or a grade.
Getting around
Place a bet and deal. Every decision you make is graded against the best play for the shoe as it stands. On a phone, the four tabs at the bottom open as a drawer over the table; tap the tab again, or anywhere on the table, to put it away. On a tablet they sit beside the table.
Questions
Is this real gambling? Can I win money?
No. Chips are play money and cannot be bought, sold, cashed out or exchanged for anything. There are no in-app purchases. Blackjack University is a training tool.
I ran out of chips. What now?
You are dealt back in with a free buy-in. Your net result keeps the loss, so your record stays honest.
I won the hand, so why was my play marked as a mistake?
Grades are about the decision, not the outcome. Each play is priced by its expected value against the cards still unseen, and a play that loses value is a mistake even when the cards bail you out. Open the Hint tab and choose Show EV to see the numbers behind any grade.
Why did the hint change from the basic strategy chart?
Hints are calculated from the cards actually left in the shoe. When the count moves far enough, the best play changes, and the game tells you it is a count deviation rather than basic strategy.
How do I keep the count myself?
Tap the running count button at the top of the table to hide it. Keep your own count as the cards land, then open the Count tab to check yourself.
How do I change the rules or start over?
Open the Table tab. Choose a table preset to change the rules, or reset the session to start again with a full stack. Past sessions stay in your progress history.
Where is my progress saved? Can I move it to another device?
Your chips, settings and history are saved only on the device you play on. There is no account and no cloud sync, so progress does not move between devices, and deleting the app deletes it.
How do I turn the sound off?
Open the Table tab and switch off sound effects, or turn down the volume there.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, and Android phones and tablets running Android 7.0 or later. Phones play in portrait; tablets play in any orientation.
Does the app collect my data?
No. It works offline and collects nothing. See the privacy policy.
