VESPER PROTOCOL · ALIEN HORDE

Privacy Policy

Effective September 7, 2026 · applies to the Alien Horde: Vesper Protocol app on iOS and Android
TL;DR

No account, no ads, no trackers. Your progress and settings never leave your device. The only thing that ever does is what you choose to type in when you post a score to the public leaderboard.

01

What stays on your device

Your campaign progress, unlocks, best runs, and settings are saved in the app's local on-device storage (localStorage on iOS, the same mechanism backed by UserDefaults/WebKit storage under the hood). None of it is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.

02

What leaves your device — and only when you choose to

The game has an optional online leaderboard. It is entirely inactive until you finish a run and choose to submit your score. At that moment, three things are sent to our database and displayed publicly on the leaderboard:

CALLSIGN
A name you type in yourself, up to 16 characters. Nothing stops you from using a nickname instead of your real name — we'd recommend it, especially for kids.
REGION
A two-letter country code read from your device's language/region setting (e.g. an iPhone set to "English (United States)" reports US). This is not GPS or any location service — we never ask for location access.
RUN STATS
Your score, which campaign world you were in, waves survived, kills, and run time.

This data is stored with Supabase, our backend provider, and is public by design — that's what makes it a leaderboard. Anyone using the app can read it.

03

What we don't do

04

Who else sees it

Supabase, Inc. hosts the leaderboard database described in Section 02 and processes that data on our behalf, under its own privacy policy. No other third party receives data from this app.

05

Children

The app has no age gate and doesn't knowingly collect anything beyond the anonymous leaderboard fields in Section 02. Because a submitted callsign is shown publicly, we'd ask a parent or guardian to choose it (or skip the leaderboard) for a child playing the game.

06

Removing a leaderboard entry

Leaderboard entries aren't tied to any account, so there's no self-serve edit or delete. Contact us (below) with the callsign, region, and roughly when the score was posted, and we'll remove it on request.

07

Changes to this policy

If what the app collects or how it's used changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will move.
